April is upon us and there is so much to celebrate! The moon, the sun, and the Earth are all front and center this month and we're ready to swing into Spring at the Bubble Bar.

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, United States, and Canada. Although we won't have the excitement of experiencing a full eclipse here in California, we're ready to celebrate all month with a very special blind tasting featuring wines made from Pinot Meunier (MOON-yay). The perfect grape to toast the moon having its day in the sun!
Not only is Pinot Meunier one of the three key varieties of grapes that the Champagne region authorizes, it is a significant component in the production of Champagne. Meunier makes a great counterpoint to the other major Champagne varieties. It softens the heft of Pinot Noir and rounds out the lean elegance of Chardonnay. With higher acidity and a more youthful fruit character, it also brings the coveted red berry flavors and balances the overall blend.
So, if you're ready to test your taste buds, come to the Bubble Bar and try a blind flight featuring two 100% Meunier wines and one that is a blend of 85% Meunier and 15% Pinot Noir. But, hurry, the blind flight changes every month!
Toasting Mom
As a Mom and a daughter, I know first hand how important it is to take a moment and celebrate family...with or without the guidance of an official holiday. I'm so fortunate to have my Mom (and my biggest cheerleader) still raising a glass to my every adventure, big or small.
